Entryway re-vamp!!!

This was my entryway back in December....and yes there is ALOT of Sun I live in Central CA.lol!  And here is now!

I am SUPER happy with how it turned out!  The paint True Values Paint and Primer in One, color matched to Benjamin Moores :Bird's Egg Blue". The bench and Shelf is a unit I bought at Target about 6 or so years ago when we re-did the entryway.  If I can drum up a pic from then I will post it.  This entry used to be the porch the previous owner remodeled.  When we moved in we knocked out what is now the entrance (which was a window) and changed the entrance to make more room in the Living room.  Oh yah and the board fabric is from Heather Bailey's Pop Garden Wallpaper Roses!

Trash to Treasure

I found beauty on the side of the road.  I just so happened to need a desk chair for my oldest son.
So off I went to JoAnns this morning to find some fabric to recover it! I painted it with Rustoleums Slate Blue.

Not too shabby, if I do say so myself!  Can't wait to see his face when he gets home from school today!!

Dishtowel

Okay I have been ridiculously busy these last few months.  I started working part time and our boys have been involved in LOTs of sports.  Anyhoo more about that later.  This is a dishtowel I made this week for my recently re-done kitchen.

I used Tanya Whelan Darla for the towel and her gingham for one ruffle, Annies farmstand for the bottom ruffle and the other was I believe a Japanese Leicen from a local fabric store.  I LOVE the way it turned out!  Whatcha think?

Shirts

Okay Ladies I know I have been SERIOUSLY MIA.  So much going on these last few months.  But I do have lots to share so I will begin with this one.  I was asked by a friend to make a Big Sis shirt before her baby was born.  I did make it but I surprised her with a lil' sis shirt at her baby shower.  I used 4 different fabrics and cut them out ( after ironing them with Ultra Heat and Bond) with I believe it was Don Juan.

Hope you like!  Have a Blessed Day!

Teenage Bed

Ok so the bed's not a teenager, but my son almost is.  I cannot believe he's going to be 13 this October.  Well anyway on to the bed project.  So I have been praying for a new bed for my son.  Yes you read that right praying.  And guess what GOD answered my prayers.  I got a bed and the thrift store for half price at a whopping $50.  Woo hoo for answered prayers.  My in'laws ended up paying for it and new mattresses, paint, sheets. (you get the idea, right?)  Ok so here is the bed when I got it home and into his room:

and some more pics of the rest of the room.  I am planning on surprising him with a "new" room this summer while he's at camp.  Hee hee I cannot wait!
okay so now to the newly painted bed

Whatcha think?  Not bad huh!  I am soooo very pleased with it!  I used "Lagoon"  by Valspar from Lowes.  I got their paint and primer in one because the original color was a blueberry purplish color, YUCK.  Anyhoo I love it (and so does my son, score one for the mom  ;>!!!

Little Girls T-shirts and flowers

I made these for my God-daughter and another friend's daughter for Valentine's Day.  I again used PTI products for the flowe here and here.  I ironed the material with Ultra Heat and Bond and then cut the heart out with my Cricut (using George and Basic shapes) them ironed it on the t-shirt.  I sewed the flower onto the heart and used a little hot glue to keep it down.  This first one is for my God-daughter.

I did the same process here only I used DoodleCharms for the heart.

This one is for my friend and neighbors daughter.  They are going to Disneyland for her 3rd Birthday, so I thought I would make her a fun shirt to wear.  Super easy peasy stuff!  The Mickey shape is from Mickey and Friends, the bow from Mickey Font and the A is from Storybook and the I just added a few rhinestones with fabric glue.

I really love how they turned out there Mama's were pretty stoked too!!!!
